I had just about the same experience with a local Harley dealer. I was trying to buy a pair of chrome pipes - just straight pipes, no headers. I called the Harley dealer to ask if he sold such a thing, and he asked what I was putting them on. When I said a 750 ACE (hubby's bike) he mumbled that he doesn't deal with that and HUNG UP ON ME! I was astounded. A straight pipe is a straight pipe. I guess I should've said a Sportster or something!
